SHOOT YOUR SHOT — HOUSTON EDITION (IN-PERSON CLASS) - 4/12/26
SHOOT YOUR SHOT — HOUSTON EDITION (IN-PERSON CLASS)
This ticket admits one (1) person only.
Shoot Your Shot: Houston Edition is a fully hands-on, team-based photography class designed to simulate a real brand campaign production set — multiple creatives involved, constant communication, creative decisions happening in real time, and the expectation to still execute and deliver.
This is not a lecture-style workshop.
This is structured, collaborative, production-style execution.
Participants rotate through lighting, creative direction, and photography roles while working with two live professional models in a professional studio environment.
This edition is built around continuous lighting — intentionally — to reflect the pace and demands of modern hybrid photo and content-driven brand campaigns.

WHY CONTINUOUS LIGHTING
Today’s photographers are often expected to operate as hybrid creators.
Brands want still images.
They want vertical content.
They want motion.
They want fast turnarounds.
Continuous lighting allows you to:
• See your light in real time
• Adjust instantly without reset cycles
• Work seamlessly alongside video capture
• Maintain flow on set
• Move faster between looks
• Keep production momentum high
In real production environments, continuous lighting is often the practical compromise that allows the entire team to stay aligned while still producing high-quality campaign visuals.
Knowing how to control and execute with continuous light — without sacrificing polish — is a valuable skill in today’s market.
Speed does not mean sloppy.
Compromise does not mean lower quality.
Execution is still the expectation.
A live demonstration of the lighting equipment and setup will take place before shooting begins.
WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE
• A brand-focused campaign concept
• Structured team rotation (lighting, creative direction, photography)
• Real-time problem solving and communication
• A collaborative production-style environment
• Hands-on shooting time with both models
• Continuous lighting setup and breakdown walkthrough
You won’t just stand and watch.
You’ll contribute, adjust, direct, and execute.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT & EXPERIENCE
All attendees must bring their own camera and arrive ready to shoot.
Attendees must already know how to:
• Adjust ISO
• Adjust shutter speed
• Adjust Kelvin / white balance
• Disable exposure simulation / live display (if applicable)
This is not a beginner camera operation class.
Due to time constraints and the wide variety of camera systems, assistance with individual camera models or basic camera operation will not be provided.
Participants should be comfortable shooting in manual mode and working independently with their gear.
WHAT YOU’LL LEAVE WITH
• Campaign-style portfolio images
• Real production workflow experience
• Stronger understanding of hybrid shooting environments
• Greater confidence working with continuous lighting
• Team-based execution experience
You will shoot.
You will collaborate.
You will execute.
