About the Class
Shoot Your Shot is a fully hands-on studio photography class designed to help photographers create more dynamic, dimensional images in a rapidly changing creative landscape.
In a world where AI-generated imagery is emerging, short-form video dominates attention, and visual content is more saturated than ever, it’s becoming harder for true photographers to stand out. Photographers can no longer rely on basic setups or safe lighting that makes their work feel replaceable.
This class is about stepping your work up—learning how to make images that feel intentional, layered, and visually compelling.
While studio lighting is a major focus, the class goes beyond lighting alone. We’ll cover angles, spacing, subject placement, props, and perspective, reinforcing that depth comes from multiple creative decisions working together—not lighting by itself.
What You’ll Learn
✅ How to create separation and depth instead of flat, one-light images
✅ How angles, spacing, and camera position change the feel of an image
✅ How props and visual layers add dimension and interest
✅ How to collaborate on set and build lighting setups from start to finish
✅ How to apply these concepts in real time while shooting
Hands-On Learning Environment
This class is fully hands-on. Attendees will work through the complete setup process from start to finish in a collaborative studio environment alongside the instructor, the model, and the creative team.
Participants will actively photograph the model using the lighting setups created during the class and apply concepts in real time—not just observe.
Camera & Experience Requirements (Important)
To ensure the class runs smoothly and stays focused on creative execution:
All attendees must bring their own camera
Attendees must already know how to operate their camera and adjust:
ISO
Shutter speed
Kelvin / white balance
If your camera has live display / exposure simulation, you must know how to turn it off
This class is not a beginner camera operation course
We will not be able to assist with individual camera models or settings
This ensures we can focus on lighting, composition, and creative decision-making rather than troubleshooting equipment.
Why This Class Matters
As photography continues to compete with AI tools, video-first platforms, and an oversaturated market, photographers must evolve. The ability to create depth, separation, and intentional imagery is no longer optional—it’s what separates photographers who get overlooked from those whose work commands attention.
This class is focused on making images that don’t get lost in the feed.
Spots are limited.
This is an interactive experience designed for photographers ready to elevate their work and shoot with intention.
